Fried Cabbage and beef- spring roll style

Prep Time: 20 mins
Cook Time: 30 - 40 mins

Ingredients:
1 lb Ground beef
Half a cabbage
2 med carrrots
1 lg onion
fresh garlic
onion powder
garlic powder

salt
Kikkoman soy sauce
butter

If you are anything like me, and didn't take out your ground beef to thaw ahead of time, here is a time saver for you: Put a frying pan with a lid on high with a little butter, pop your frozen meat in there, put lid on, and walk away till you are done cutting up all your next ingredients! If you need to help the steam along, pour in a Tbsp or 2 of water.

So, turn your 2nd frying pan on high with 2 Tbsp butter melting, chop cabbage, onions, crush garlic, grate carrots. Add all but crushed garlic. fry for 20 mins on high, sprinkle approx 1/2 Tbsp salt, pour in 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp garlic powder and onion powder. Make sure to check your ground beef and flip it about 10 mins. Sprinkle salt and pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. (my staples for just about everything to make it yummy =))

Add  crushed garlic and fried beef 10 mins before serving. Serve and enjoy!! :)

If you have tried the Fried Cabbage side dish, you may recognize this recipe! It's EXACTLY the same, minus the ground beef. For side dish recipe, click here.

Tip: cook time varies depending on how soft you like your cabbage. Some people like it SUPER soft and mushy, others like it pretty crunchy. Grab a fork and see how you like it at 20 mins and then 30 mins!

Tip 2: I use Kikkoman soy sauce because it is sugar free and a MUCH better flavor in my opinion! Ever looked at the ingredients in China Lily Soy sauce? Ever wonder why you can drown your rice with china lily?? Ya, lots of water and sugar :P You only need a little Kikkoman!
