Buttery mushrooms

This was SO divine, I absolutely had to share it with you! It dosn't look like much, but BELIEVE me, it IS! And the SECOND awesome thing about this side dish? It's the easiest thing to make EVER :)

Ingredients:

Mushrooms

Butter

Garlic Powder

Directions: place pound of butter in small sauce pan on as low as your stove will allow. Put mushrooms in pan. Leave on low for 1- 1 1/2 hours. Toss mushrooms with 1/4 tsp garlic powder in serving bowl after taking them out of butter :)

Serve and ENJOY IMMENSELY! :D

Tip: This is a favorite in some European cultures, the butter is kept in the pan in the fridge for upto a year and re-used as many times as you want to! The reason it can be kept for so long is the fact that the oil on the top seals any perishable foods, like mom used to do with Paraffin wax. Personally, I don't have an extra pan lying around that can be kept in the fridge forever, so I pour it into a jar and store in the fridge. I usually have to top it up each time I make it though- the butter from these mushrooms is DELICIOUS and can be used to flavor all kinds of fried foods. You can also pour out the mushroomy water and use that in soups and stews!
